West Wendover Christian Center

History

Pastor Wayman Mitchell, the senior pastor of the Potter's House in Prescott, AZ, founded Christian Fellowship Ministries in the early 1970s. It is now comprised of more than 2,300 congregations in over 120 countries. In 1973, Harold and Mona Warner were sent to Tucson, AZ, where they began The Door Christian Fellowship church.

The Las Vegas Christian Center was founded in 1981 when Lee and Connie Stubbs were sent out of The Door Christian Fellowship church to pioneer a church in Las Vegas, NM. The church has been pastored by Richard and Yolanda Rubi, Fred and Norma Rubi, and is currently pastored by Pastor Ray and Patsy Rubi.

Pastor Ray and Patsy have been here since 1997 and are patiently and diligently discipling young men and women.

The West Wendover Christian Center was founded in 2015 when Pastor Dan and Emily Gutierrez were sent out of The Las Vegas Christian Center to pioneer a church in West Wendover, NV.

In 2016, Pastor Jorge and his wife Elizabeth took over the church. They pastored it until 2023.

The church is currently pastored by Pastor Adam Peoble and his wife Lizeth Peoble. They were sent to take over in 2023. Under Pastor Adam's steadfast leadership, The West Wendover Christian Center continues to make disciples, with a vision to plant churches and reach lost souls for the kingdom of God. By the grace of God, the small church that started a few years ago has become a thriving congregation.

What to Expect

The West Wendover Christian Center is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, non-denominational family of believers.

Our pastor and staff consider it a privilege to welcome you to our church and minister to your spiritual needs.

Ushers are available before, during, and after each service to answer your questions and help guide you. A nursery is available for infants up to 3 years old during each service. Regular services begin with praise and worship to prepare your heart for the preaching of God's Word.

After prayer requests and opening the service in prayer, we collect an offering to honor the Lord.

Announcements are followed by the biblical preaching of God's Word and an altar call. We are excited to welcome you to The West Wendover Christian Center and look forward to meeting you in person.

Worship

The focus of worship at The West Wendover Christian Center is to provide an inviting atmosphere where men and women can experience, firsthand, the gracious and loving presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our desire to allow the Holy Spirit to create openness in people's hearts so that they may receive the preaching of the Word of God.

We invite you to join us at the beginning of each service for an uplifting time of praise and worship. You will be refreshed and encouraged in the tangible presence of God.
